I have a 3 day weekend coming up and would like to hit LOTW for some muskie fishing with my son. We are pretty accomplished esox anglers and have a 17 ft tracker pro v but have never been to LOTW. Not looking to spend alot and we are pretty quick studies if pointed in the right direction. Are there any options/recommendations?

For a 3 dayer, depends on where you're coming from, but if you're going to the NWA, Young's Bay is tough to beat for convenience. Don't have to haul anything out to the islands and still close enough to fish the same areas.

Nestor Falls, C & C Motel, fairly cheap. Have done long weekend trips to there from Iowa. Had great luck one year, good one year, poor to fair this year.

I'm guessing they'll be booked, but I stayed at Mylies for a week in August and have nothing but good things to say. Reasonable rates, nice cabins, and Justin did a great job of pointing me (first timer to LOTW) in the right direction.

They are busy and usually booked, but might be worth checking with them to see if they had any cancellations or other openings.

Mylie's Place or Buena Vista in Morson are the first 2 places I look for reasonable rates and decent places to stay.
