Do you guys put twister trailers on when you toss bucktails? I always do but seems like I see more and more people not putting trailers on

It just depends on how the fish are reacting, I tend to not use to many on bucktails, unless i have the right size and i'm able to put the shank of the treble hook through it. I dont really like just thowing one on one of the hooks, but have before. Now with spinner baits and single hooks I use them a lot more often. Two weeks ago i was testing out a spinner i built and was getting a lot of attention and short hits on it, so I decided to put a 6in twister on, didnt have another hit for the next hour. Normally this seems to give me that little extra enticement i need, but not this time. So i took the twister off and it wasnt 5 minutes later I was having action again and putting fish in the boat. So I would just say it depends. i usually go on the rule if im getting follows or non committed fish, then adding a tail seems like a good idea. I also have about 10 different colors of twisters on hand all the time, so i can try different colors.

I put them on spinnerbaits and single hook bucktails like the smaller Eagle Tails. I've never taken them off to experiment without them, but now I'm thinking maybe I should.

Its funny when I first started muskie fishing with my dad 12+ years ago one of his buddies who was huge into muskie fishing and was pretty good wouldn't toss a bucktail without one on so that's kinda what I have always done now it seems like most don't use them
