I picked up a 10" and 12" Headlocks earlier this year and im about to go use em for the 1st time in the Bemidji area MN - any info on running depth, which tow eye is best to use and with how much line some of you've had the most success? I will not be putting in a ton of time trolling as I will be casting also, any info is much appreciated as I only get a week of fishin up this way every year -Thank you!

Copied from the Supernatural facebook page:

Supernatural Big Baits June 16.Headlock depths relating to length of line out and speed.

Use a 3 to 1 ratio at three mph to determine depth. Example is 30 feet of line out gets 10 feet down at 3mph, 45 feet of line gets 15 feet down at 3mph. All of this is in the front hole.

Add 4 feet for each line tie hole you go back. I like the front hole for 15 feet and under.

Max depth is 24 feet on the back hole.

There are lots of variables with headlocks. But a 3:1 ratio is a great start.

This is straight from the Supernatural Sensei himself.
