Yes! I also had the same question and thought it was dumb. But I am right handed, so most of the detailed work I do with my right hand. That being said, I shove my left hand in a muskie's gill to ensure my detailed hand doesn't get messed up haha! Also I have a Lindy fish handling glove, but it's lefty and out of routine I always hold their head with my left hand.
