| Going to head up there next week and just curious if anyone knew anything about these two lakes?
Also, has anyone been in ontario in August? I am anticipating blade/topwater bit, but any tips would be great! |

Location: minocqua, wi. | many years first week of September and blades, grandmas, and shallow invaders have been the primary table-fare … i've been on Ord, key there was water clarity/conditions.
good luck on your trip … !! wish i were going soon ... |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | I have fished Ord previously many years ago....it is a fantastic pike and walleye lake. Probably caught about a 100 fish in a day combined and had no idea what we were doing out there. Didn't get a chance to chase muskies but I know they are in there and some nice ones as well. There's lot of bulrush, and cabbage all over.
Blades should work just fine along with other presentations, those lakes receive very minimal pressure and are beautiful backwoods Canadian lakes
I assume you are staying at Thaddeus Lake Lodge....I did a portage into Ord and was more concerned about how we were going to get out of there, the road at the time was more suited for tanks then that of regular vehicles...it was definitely an adventure

| Fished Ord once. It is like others have said. I would go there in a heartbeat to get someone their first musky/feet wet fishing esox. My only reservation would be breaking my truck on the way in/out and then being stuck in Canada waiting for repairs.
Wait... Maybe that wouldn't be so bad after all! |

| We've thrown blades over the weed tops in June and September on Ord and moved a lot of fish, I would imagine that would be a pretty solid option now. The silver pike are a neat bonus as well. Ord always treated us well for a ridiculous walleye numbers day, with a couple 22-25" as well. Good luck and have fun! |
