My partner has a Big Kahuna net and we usually always fish on his bait, but I own a 26'' x 30'' Frabill Pro-Formance teardrop 48'' slide tangle free weighted nylon fishing net and when I first got into musky fishing, I had been advise that this net would do the job.

I plan on fishing on my own in the weeks to come and I find that the 26'' x 30'' teardrop rink is big enough and also, light enough to easily manoeuvre it in the water. But, the problem is with the 38'' bag depth, I'm guessing that it would be very difficult to keep the fish in the water while removing the hooks.

I was planning on upgrading the bag size and depth with something made for a bigger net. Did anyone else tryied this before? Any suggestions on the bag size and depth so that the fish could easily rest in the water while the net would still be on the boat without it being a 3 men job?

Thanks,
Alex
