Is anyone using this reel for pounders and what is your feedback? Please, curb your Tranx comments, I'm a lefty.

I bought 3 of them this year, two for rubber and one for jerkbaits and gliders. I'm really liking them so far and haven't had any durability issues yet. The line recovery is great for pounders, and the reel is easy to palm. Good drag on these too.

I have a 6.3:1 Lexa 400 and so far it's been good to me. Have you landed big fish on your 7.1? I'm just concerned about the gear ratio when fighting a big fish.

I got 1 for rubber and 1 for scorching dub 8s. Landed numerous fish with them and they are awesome.

I throw twinkies more than dawgs. Not sure how heavy the mag twinkies are but I haven't had a problem throwing them with my 400. The line pick up is a big help. I've only fought 3 fish on the reel, but all three were a breeze to wrench in.

Ive thrown regular sized dussas with ease and big blades with my 7.1:1 and I love it. Ive got it paired with a Chaos Tackle SWAT rod. I landed a chunky 49" two weekends ago, and the reel didn't miss a beat! Very impressed with it thus far.

Nothing huge yet, but I don't think it would be a problem
