I was looking over my rod while changing over a reel and noticed one of my eyelits inside the eye was starting to shatter and a small peice had flaked away. I rubbed my finger in it and it was sharp enough to feel the edge. Obvious concern of cutting my line clean off on a fish. Does any one know of a quick repair to get me through the season till I can get a new eye installed. I tried an arcrilyc fingernail polish but it did not hold up. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Remove the damaged eye and go without. Rods like St Croix LT's have alot of guides and you should be able to do without one unless it is the tip top...
It is usually a quick fix though if you can find a rod repair shop.
