Hey just thought I would throw this out there to people who live in or around Plymouth MN. 38 vehicles were broken into last night in an attempt to steal the vehicles, including my own. most were not actually taken (mine included) but 7 vehicles were taken. As far as I know they weren't after what was in the car as all of my valuables were left in tact, including a full tackle box. Also heard of another lady that had a diamond neckless in her center counsel that was not taken. They are however, punching the door locks, entering the vehicle and punching the ignition cylinder and steering column in order to steal the car. I now have to replace all that wonderful stuff on my vehicle. Thanks random Dbag thieves!!

The other snippit of info the detective told me is that they seem to be targeting trucks and SUVs, only one of the vehicles hit was an actual "car". I am pretty sure there are a few of you out there that own one or the other. If you live in, near or around Plymouth MN. Park in the garage, take anything of value out and bring it inside. LOCK UP EVERYTHING. I don't expect this to be a one time thing. And hitting 38 cars in one night is pretty impressive even if it was a group of people. That being said, I'm sure they will be out tonight and for nights to come. Hopefully, if it does happen again. Some of use are the wiser now.

Just wanted to make sure you all knew, and can prevent it if possible

Not from that area, but fully agree on what you say. also sounds like a perfect situation to set up a night vision game camera...get pictures of the people in action...

Sorry to hear your vehicle got hit... totally stinks...

That sucks! Hope they caught! Sorry to hear about your truck. You gotta be glad they didn't take the precious diamonds(tackle). Again, hope they get caught soon!

38 vehicles.....?....Where were the Cops.
There must be 24 hr. Donut shops in that community.
You would think, and the odds are that they would have been caught, by someone...

And never leave your garage door opener in your vehicle. Scumbags will break in your car to get easy access to your garage and home if attached. I guess I got lucky they walked past my sling blades and nastys with 400 te's and 400d's. To take a chainsaw and leaf blower. Talk about walking over a dollar to pick up a dime. And after it happens your wife and kids live in fear because they think that this dirtbags will be back. Had to put a spy point trail cam in the trees.

No not seriously, but what are the odds in this small community that no one saw at least 1 vehicle being broken in to.

This was one of my first thoughts. Hopefully they get caught soon. I can only imagine what will happen when they go again and someone does catch em in the act. Some good ole street justice. I know if it was me that caught them I would want to try to do something. Depending on what that something was.

The detective told me that there has been issues like this all over Plymouth Recently. But this specific situation took place around 169 and Medicine lake rd and over to 36th ave . No one has been arrested that I know of yet.

Gotchya. Basically the areas bordering New Hope/Golden Valley. If you ever check out the crime maps it's pretty revealing where the problems are.
