| I had a guide tell me his number one go to lure is the Rapala Super Shad. He had several reasons for this, none of which I desire to debate. I am fishing the lake his lodge sits on and wanted to take a few with me. What are your experiences between Rapala's Super Shad and TI Super Cisco?
Thanks in advance... |

| Relatively new to chasing muskies, but I'll throw one more out there- The Tyrant Tackle Raz shad. Same body style, with a rattle built in. It has caught more sheepshead for us than the Rapala.. No luck on muskies with either yet though.. If you are anywhere near Green Bay, Smokey's on the bay can also have them painted in any pattern you can dream of, and if I remember correctly- they are cheaper than the Rapala. Seem to be built as well or better imo too. |

Location: Sycamore, IL | Super Cisco= plastic with rattles
Rapala= Balsa no rattles
More color choices with the T.I. bait than Rapala.
Both baits seem to troll about the same. The Rapala is a better twitch bait than the T.I. IMO.
The T.I. is a tougher bait and can handle lots of fish and abuse, where my Super Shads seem to get broken up around fish number 6 or 7.
For how inexpensive they are you should get a couple of both if that is what your guide is recommending. Hope that helps. |

| Rapala's don't hold up to banging rocks for very long. I don't know that I'd trust them on a BIG fish...but I still use them and love the baits until they break. Just make sure you keep an eye on the lip/eyelet so you know if it's getting loose. |

Location: Detroit River | I use to use the Rapala Super Shads on LSC but all I ever caught with them were small muskies & pike up to 35". Now they sit collecting dust in my basement. |

| I do very well with Super Cisco lures. Tough lures too. Love all the colors you can get. |

| Tied on a Super Cisco for the first time yesterday and within minutes caught a 30" pike. I will use it again for sure. |

Location: Quebec, Canada | My biggest sky comes from a Super Shad Rap. Which is why I've purchased a couple TI Super Ciscos in various size. I have not yet to catch a fish on them though.
It feels like the bait wobble is not the same on the 2 differents lures. I feel like the Rapala lure has a larger and the TI lure has a tighter wobble. TI ciscos do look very stronger has mentionned before.
