Smallish bucktails, medium to slow retrieve to start (reg buchertail, rabid squirrel, musky roller, mepps musky killer, etc)
or
Shallow raider pulled, paused, ripped, straight cranked
or
6" phantom

I have done well on smaller bucktails mepps musky magnums safety pin buck tails fish the reeds on the south east side .good luck

Topwater like a topraider but move SLOW as possible; also Hawg Wobbler, Globe or Topper style will work. As the cold front progresses, more Phantom Softtail and Hellhounds on edges and spinnerbaits and big twitchbaits in thick weeds. Look shallow, especially if the sun starts poking out.
