| I'm having trouble accessing the Minn Kota website and their 800 number.
Anyone else notice this?
The remote for my iPilot won't come on even after replacing the battery.

| My first remote stopped working after about 9 months. My second one is giving me troubles and it is less than a year old. The motor worked fine but the remote would not come on. The motor continued to run at same speed and direction as it was set but can't turn off or steer. A bit dangerous when fishing rivers.
A couple of things that worked on occasion.
Press and hold any button. Remove battery and reinsert. Stow and redeploy. Unplug motor.
One last tip that is painful. If you get remote on, hit a button between very cast. I usually tap the left/right buttons.
I use the remote exclusively so it has a lot of time on it but you would think they would last a lot longer. | |
