| Hey all,
Just got back from a Trip up North and wanted to share the results.
Spent the week on Big Saint Germain and had the following results with those highly educated Big Saint Ski's:
3 solid hits, missed sets or lost on the way to the boat on smaller bucktails
1 huge blowup at boatside in the dark on the figure 8, fish missed the double 8 bucktail and gave me the cold shower
Several low 30's follows and One Heartbreaking upper 40's on a black and orange Depthraider while bumping the rock bars in overcast heavy wind conditions.
Big Saint was clear water with temps in the upper 60's
Lot of activity on Bucktails, but no takers and the Pike were being a PITA on them. Several dozen snakes and 2x27" ones on weed edges.
Other Vilas county waters:
Escanaba - Didn't raise a fish in post frontal conditions..
Star - Several follows, a 32" Pike and a 41" that broke the 40" mark for me. Clear conditions, SW wind, both Fish taken on a "MoJoe" in Redhorse, both fish hit on the pull at a distance. They were relating to sand grass in deep water. Follows on a perch Suick and White/Silver bucktail.
HTH,
RandalB

| No problem, I'll fire you a note in the AM.
Not a tough lake structure wise, the fish just see a ton of lures.... | |
