| Curious if anybody has an idea where the muskies below Eau Claire on the Chippewa come from. I have looked into stocking info on the DNR website and didn't see any recent stocking reports on the lower Chippewa for muskie.
I have seen one in the river myself but didn't catch it, around a 40" fish. Below is a video of someone catching a tiger, and it looks like they are below the last dam on the Chippewa, near the university.

I wonder if these are naturals, or are fish that were stocked further up river and managed to get swept down into the lower river?

Location: Almond, WI | They've always been native to the whole river as far as I know, density varies obviously. There's probably a few from upriver too, muskies will swim through dams. | |
