| I was fishing with a buddy on Monday and he was using a Jackpot surface bait in a calm bay and an osprey came down and grabbed his bait. The osprey lifted the bait about five feet out of the water then dropped it. I thought this was pretty wild. I tried to take a video when it came back a second time but it wasn't very clear. Has anybody else had this happen?? |

Location: Minnesota. | I'm happy to hear the bird didn't get hooked....for a variety of reasons. I'd hate like heck to have to try to unhook one of those guys - or- to have to cut the line.
An amazing thing to watch I'm sure!! Spooks me to have a dang loon, looking like an umbrella, going after/following my bucktails!! |

Location: Perryville, MO | Just Wednesday I was working a frog accross the slop right a sunrise...never heard a thing and over the top of my right shoulder I turn to see a massive owl less than an arm length away with sights set on my Spro...he swoops down grabs it and gets ten feet or so off the water before dropping it. (I moistened my shorts!)
Quite an interesting day. Had three muskie follows and one short hook-up on the same bait targeting largemouth. Then hooked and battled a muskrat for a minute or two. Had I been targeting muskie, muskrat, owl, or dink bass I would have recorded a successful day.
BTW for my seriously conservation-minded fellow anglers I am unaware of the effects of warm water on the healthy release of owls and muskrats, but I was no way intentionly bothering the muskies.

Location: Almond, WI | Last summer I had an osprey swoop down after a topraider. It left talon marks on the bait. |

| I caught a pelican on a jackpot opener weekend.. i was looking at a big splash on the other side of the boat and he divebombed my lure.. i herd the splash and felt it so I set the hook before realising what it was... had to cut all 6 hook points. Those are ugly birds up close. |

Location: West of the metro, MN | Had an eagle take my Bomber Long A while trolling for pike. Had another eagle drop down on my Hawg Wobbler, this time it was pretty obvious what was going to happen so we started jumping up and down and yelling and scared it before she grabbed it. |

Location: ON | Had a loon stalking a 9mm last weekend, followed my for maybe 300 yards, getting closer and closer to the bait, dive down pop up. Had to hold a few casts to locate him. Definately had interest in it.

I had an otter hot after a daredevil spoon while trout fishing on Duck Lake in Alaska. I saw a shadow coming after the bait and thought it was a nice fish. At the last minute I realized that it was an otter and I pulled the spoon out of the water. I can't even imagine how messy that could have gotten for the otter and myself. |

| Ive had multiple eagles come close but thankfully I think they figured it out before actually grabbing my suick. There was 3 of them circling getting closer and closer every pass before they took off. Could of got real scary really fast if one decided to dive on it. |

| I had a bald eagle come down and grab my bobbie a few years back. it flew about 10 feet up before dropping it (with a very slight twitch from me). as soon as it hit the water, another came out of a tree (i had not seen either prior) and took a shot at it. i just yanked back and it dove out of reach. i was screaming at those eagles. |

Location: Beaver County, Pennsylvania | when i was young i was floating a piece of white bread for carp and apparently i wasn't paying attention. a goose grabbed my bread and got the hook in it's mouth. i had to cut the line but that was the first time i ever had my bait go airborne. |

| Had a lot of lookers over the years, no takers..never let em! But the worst hook up ever is when right as your bait is about to hit the water, a loon pops up right there. Worst noise ever especially with a big Weagle! Luckily it threw that heavy bait. |
