| Crazy... I swear for us the fish bite when the weather is colder then cold and the wind throws white caps at the boat landing. If some one had a camera they may have won funniest home videos on us today! I told my husband I think we are nuts! Only boat out North Star Lake... side note: Weeds are looking way better!
Any how took all muscle strength to avoid dinging boat on the dock and I am partial to our boat.... took five minutes to pry the sucker out of the waves away from the landing IDAMAY! Then no power load... tried boat swamped in waves to try to control her in.... we used all muscle strength with worried looks getting it back on the trailer THANK heavens flat boat landing came out of water even.
PLUS side 45 incher in the boat! Glad we got pay back... my frozen body wasn't too upset when my husband's rod bent over and we netted a decent fish!

Location: River | Winters are the worst for me. Mud, ice, snow, tree limbs ect.. They are all covering the launch in the winter. This video was a unique situation where the river flooded pushing mud on the launch. Then we got ice and snow on top.

| I watched about two dozen guys chip ice that was over a foot thick at a launch last fall. Then a few boats got out and had to break about 200 yards of ice to get to a little puddle of open water in the lake.
Crazy what musky fishermen will go through. |

Location: MN | What a guy will do for a musky or a pile of ducks. It gets a little insane. |

| I have had several times in November when I chained up to launch my boat. Had to plow through a foot of snow and deal with the ice on the ramp in order to launch. Caught two muskies that day though, so it was all worth it! |

| Put in on the soft side of the lake. Head to a river in high wind (or big cold front). Carry hip boots and a shovel to throw sand on iced landings.

Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Funny. Put in Monday on the windy side of the lake...partner dumped me in then parked truck. The wind was BLOWING with white caps blowing me a bit faster than Iiked into the dock to pick him up...I raced to the front deck to catch the boat and keep from slamming into the dock and when I dropped to my knees I soon realized I did so right next to my tube holder full of musky baits and knew something wasnt right...looked down to see a 6 ought buried to the hilt in my calf...I'm sure I jinxed myself when I told my buddy last month that I'd never buried a hook in me....oh yeah, popped it out with pliers, some neosporin, band aide, and fishing in no time...one follow...sheesh, I thought I was paying homage to the musky gods, but they dont payment Mondays.
