44 teams hit the water this morning on the Moen Chain. Over all looks like the bite was good, with 10 fish registered on day one. Weather for the day was 10 to 20 mph winds with plenty of sun shine. Two teams doubled up and plenty of singles. Looks like its going to be a grind tomorrow to stay in the top five.

Day One top Five

1st place -Dave Stewart and Darrel Mack boated two nice fish a 43 1/4'' and a 43'' to take the lead.

2nd place- Ralph Rollins with a 38.5'' and a 40 1/4''

3rd Place- Kevin Black with a 40''

4th place- Michael Hendricks with a 38''

5th place- Lee Bastain with a 37''

Having a place on the chain, just wanted to mention that the club maintains the landing on Moen and I understand the tournament helps with that.

Hope everyone has a great time, regardless of how the fishing goes. I will be retired this time next year and will be participating myself.

I haven't fished that one in years! Throw out a reminder a bit sooner next year Steve, and I'll be in!

The Charlie Baker Memorial Musky Tournament is this weekend on the Moen's Lake Chain. How many of you guys are fishing the Charlie Baker this weekend. Keith and his buddy Scott will be fishing in it and they will place updates at the end of each day. Good luck to all the teams!
