does anyone run these and how are they for trolling? I am planning a trip to st. clair and wanted some deep running baits to flatline. says they troll to 15'. anyone know how much line to get them down that deep? any other suggestions? would prefer not to spend 30+ a bait.

i have some jakes, depth raiders storm flatsticks, and grandma twitch baits.

Thanks for the response. Does anyone have a dive chart for trolling?

no dive chart....but 65 feet should get you close depending on line diameter. maybe you can email them and [email protected]

Hi Lenny,
With 80lb braid and 70' of line out you will be down 15' mono you would need to put out 80'.
I am on St. Clair a month every year when my water gets too hot to fish, working for a few Charter Captians
Most time you do not need to get baits that deep especially during the summer months. A lot of our biggest fish are caught trolling spankys on planner boards with 2oz on them and they are only 2-3 feet deep.
Another good crank bait is the MX6 from Muskie Train my biggest St. Clair fish was on one 54" and have put a lot of other fish 50"-53.5" in the boat on them also. I am usually running them only 2'-8' deep even over 20' of water. The water is clear, you are always better running the baits above the fish verses below them, they will always come up and get them.
Caught some nice fish on Mason crankbaits also.
Have caught some on the Grandma shads mostly on the long rod with 10' of line out.
Good Luck,
Jeff Hanson
