Location: oswego, il | Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on the best 12" trailer tire is. Tried some searching but just come up with bias ply tires like carlisles like I already have. Maxxis and Kumho do not make a 12" tire. |

I think you are quite limited in what you can find. I've had good luck with the Carlisle tires. When I had my smaller boat, I went with 530 x 12 in load range c. Never had an issue.

Lots of bad press on the Carlisles but that's almost exclusively what is available locally. Personally never had a failure but the possibility always nags @ me, so I replace them as soon as they start to weather/crack.
As inexpensive as steel wheels are, I'm considering a move to 13" & the attendant increase in tire selection....
