Are there any rods that will collapse down to 7 feet or eve 6'6?

if possible i'd want it so I could store it in my rod locker and that's the longest on the 1725 pro guide.

Tackle Industries has 2 piece rods that will collapse to ~4'6".
St Croix has 2 piece Premiers that will collapse to sub 7' I believe.
Okuma has 8'6" telescopic rods that collapse to 7'

I have two of the Okuma's as well. Both are 8'6" and I love them. For the price you cant beat them. There are a couple of new ones for sale on here that are dirt cheap right now. Their customer service is good too. Best part is I can throw my nice setups in the front seat and not have to worry about them. Try one out you will like them.

I have several of the Okumas as well and like them. Consider going a little heavier than you normally would as they are a little tip-soft.

The 9' TI telescopic rods collapse to 7'6" so just a little over what he needs. The 2pc 9' breaks down to 2x 4'6" pcs though.

I have a telescoping to 7" St Croix premier that I like a lot. No problems.

If you choose to go with an Okuma, I suggest you stay away from the 8'6" XXH. My father and I have broken two of them in past (good warranty and customer service from Okuma though). The 8'6" XH, however, is a great rod and we have not had any issues with the several we use. As others have said, it will breakdown to fit in a 7ft rod locker.

I have both the XH and XXH. No problems with either. As previously stated the XH is a really nice rod and reminds me of the LT Long ranger for 1/3rd the price.

Another vote for Okuma. I have two of the 8'6" that telescope down to under 7 feet and fit diagonally in the six foot bed of my truck. I believe they are the ones that cast 20z. -8 0z. lures. You could cast lighter lures if necessary. They probably wouldn't' be very good for pounders (which I don't fish.) I love them.

The Tackle Industries 9 tele is a great rod. Goes to 76 when down. Fits in most rod lockers in my boat and friends boats. I also have one of the 2pc rods and that is great for travel. 9' 2pc goes to 4.5' for storage.
