I recently ran into a conundrum with a 2005 Ford Superduty F-250 that ran great and looked like hell (Rust). Ford for some silly reason put foam in the body panels of their F-series trucks in the mid 2000's and rust was inevitable. The cosmetics coupled with the notorious 6.0's that are worth essentially zero, i was trying to figure out how to get what i want in towing power and have something that looked good without breaking the bank or getting into crazy payments. Most dealers won't take 6.0 liters, nobody will buy them and those who have them are scared of them.

So, after running mine to 260k knowing it was strong for another 100+ and finding the x-factor in a mechanic who knows how to make the 6's run with power and reliability, I stole one from a guy who was facing a nightmare of repairs without confidence and sold mine to a friend who runs a marine storage business (enough to cover the repairs i made on the new one). I just got it back after giving it to the magicians at Eastside Automotive in Rhinelander and it is absolutely fantastic!! best of all is a grand total all in cost well below $10k. i'm driving a truck that makes me smile again …

Looks like a great deal. I picked up a new 2013 supercab STX this past February with the 5.0. I have been very happy with the truck so far, prior to I owned a 1997 Suburban for fifteen years that treated me very well but the new ones are priced out of this poor guys league. Just remember; chicks dig black trucks.

Just picked this one up a couple weeks ago. It's an 08 with the 6.4. So far I love it but, yours looks cooler than mine! As a matter of fact, if you want to trade wheels let me know! Lol
