| Any reports from Indy yet this year? Was thinking about maybe heading there this week. |
|
|
|
| Fish it nearly every mornin from shore b4 work. Seen a couple 50's by the launch. Had a couple on, one 45ish. As always, fish in6 feet or less on that lake. Recommend Using tiny perch color shad raps short line trolling inside the buoys. Try topwater too. I've caught more than 50 in that lake the last 4 years and more caught from shore than my boat. They are often in a foot of water. |

| What kind of topwaters do you use prop type baits or walk the dog type baits? |
|
|
|
| my own, pacemakers, nimmers, maas muraders work too. nearly caught a great blue heron on a maas there last year. did all i could to keep it from hitting it from the air. would have made an awesome video. |

Location: Twin Cities | Went out last night, my buddy had some follows and missed one. They just wouldn't hit for some reason. Got one pike but that was it. I had absolutely no luck-threw 3 different spinnerbaits, a top water, 3 different bucktails, and a suick. Pretty darn good conditions too |

Location: Twin Cities | Last night was an excellent one. Had two follows-one on a figure 8 that just barely hit it and i set the hook and the lure came out of the water-my mistake. Second one never hit it-saw it behind the lure about half way on retrieve. My buddy caught a 31" and had a high 30s hooked and lost it at the boat. He also had one nice one follow on a figure 8 for about a minute but it wouldn't hit it for some reason. He also had another follow but it turned off after one figure 8. Great weather last night.

Location: Twin Cities | The human or the fish, LOL? Not sure what you mean? Wasn't anything wrong besides one side there was some loose flesh but you can't really see it there.

Location: Twin Cities | Oh yeah I guess you can see it there, yeah I don't know what that was all about. Maybe some a previous catch. Finally got some confidence though after all that last night. I imagine once you get to know a lake you can have some good success |

| Got me a 52 this morning on my topwater. Hit in a foot of water. Great start to the week as I had 20 minutes to cast before work.

Location: MN | mnmusky, beauty of a fish! You should probably bring some rubber boots and a net next time. |

|
| No net needed. After 30+ catches from shore , never using a net seems to work for me. Quicker to unhook too and believe it or not, these fish are smart, they wiggle themselves back into the water. Caught pike in the same fashion and they would just flop to death if I didn't help them back. |

Location: Minnesota. | Never been out there. Is the boat landing large/easy enough to get an 18' glass boat in and park/turnaround okay?
Thanks. I'd like to take a look at the lake. |

| I hope your not the guy I saw last year catch a low 40" fish off the dock then walk it all the way down to the boat landing for someone to take a pic, set the fish on the ground then try to get it to swim off when it was about 80 degrees out. |

| Nice launch. $5 cost though. |

Sand+musky= bad deal for the fish
Sand+musky+inhaled bait+no live well (net) = dead musky

Never lost one yet. From land or sea. And since they lay , prey in and over shallow sand this time of year I don't think it hurts them a bit. That fish was out of water less than a minute and swam off like nothin happened with no reviving needed. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I only know what I know from experience and that's my opinion. |

Location: Minnesota. | Probably a lot less damage/stress/long-term issue to the fish than all those pics. we see of guys hugging/cradling fish for the photo with the caption of "....and the fish was immediately released, unharmed." Hmm...
At least the fish was on wet sand in this pic. |

Location: MN | I'm sure they are fine when released quick. If one inhales it and you have to do surgery before releasing the fish it might be a different story. Anyways...Congrats again on the awesome fish and thanks for sharing. |

| Had a fun run-in with a homeowner yesterday accidently hit his dock with a topwater and it got stuck on a grove at the end of the dock, I apologized for hitting his dock since he was at the top of the hill watching me, he preceded to tell me to leave the lure or he was calling the cops which I told him he was more then welcome to. I again apologized and told him it was an accident as I motored toward his dock he then runs down to the end of the dock screaming that I did it on purpose and if I'm a fisherman I can prevent that from happening and he doesn't come to my house and walk in or something along those lines. He then tries to smash my lure with his foot before I can grab it, then grabs then end of my fishing rod and starts pulling on it before he kicks my trolling more and boat. I turned away and he says something about meeting me at the land or something I wasn't listening anymore because I was laughing to hard that a grown adult could have acted that way. I went to the other side of the lake for another half hour because I really didn't feel like beating a 50+ year old man a the landing because he didn't know how to cool down. Gotta love these lakeshore owners. |
