Location: NoDak | as long as the blades are spinnin and on a straight retrieve your good to go, try different speeds, from super slow and deep to as fast as you can making the water boild just below the surface |

Location: Detroit River | I've caught a lot of pike on double showgirls & baby girls. Only caught 1 pike on a double 10 & that was a small pike. I caught this one on a homemade double 8 last week. |

| Although pike will hit bucktails, spinner baits seem more productive to me. A spinner bait can be fished through the weeds where bucktails are more likely to get hung up. Thus, when I am interested in catching a pike for dinner, I usually put on a spinner bait. Chartreuse is one of my favorite colors for pike fishing. I prefer chartreuse blades too.
The spinner bait is a slower retrieve to allow the bait to get down in the weeds, as compared to a bucktail, which is usually retrieved faster. I believe spinner baits will produce more pike.

Location: Walker, MN | I have to agree, lots of Musky action on Cowgirls but not too many Pike for me. Spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, twichbaits and rubber are better imo. |

| I catch a ton of pike burning double 10's during the summer when they are up shallower. I've even had some success on 13's! I've found that I hook way more fish on 10's than I do on spinnerbaits and they're almost always big. It could just be the lakes I fish, but I wouldn't count 10's out for those monster Euro pike. |
