I have a ranger reata that fills and recircs but leaks water out. I was told that I'd have to replace the flowrite system and had a marina quote me $300. I did a little calling around and research and some say its usually just plugged or needs to be cleaned/backflushed. Any suggestions before I fork out the $300??

Yes, you can do it yourself. I'm guessing the flappers are just worn. Assuming you can get at them under the floor, just disconnect, pull the unit out, and replace those flappers. Then go spend the $300 (less parts) on a couple tanks of gas and go fishing. Ranger knows which ones you'll need, give them a call. I just wound up buying from them when mine went, or you can get the part number and check with Flowrite.

Save the money and fill the live well with ice and cut off a 2' piece of your garden shovel. You need to be fishing not gardening. Whack em between the eyes and throw them on ice
