| Hi guys!
We are from Sweden, and are going to a scientific musky conference in Ottawa in august. Of course we would like to try out some serious musky fishing as well 
Can you recommend a good place and a good guide for a couple of days of fishing?
We can travel by car quite far from Ottawa, if thats necessary, we would like to fish with the best!

Location: Eastern Ontario | John Anderson Ottawa River Musky Factory would put you on fish he's based less than an hour from Ottawa. If he's booked he would point you in the right direction.

Mike Lazarus and Marc Thorpe both great but fish closer to Montreal and are usually booked by this time of year.

Location: On the O | I'm a member of the Ottawa Chapter of Muskies Canada at the last meeting we discussed getting some volunteers to bring some of the folks attending the conference out for a fish on either the Ottawa or the Rideau rivers. It seemed to go over quite well and there were more than a couple volunteers. That being said a guided trip with John or Mike would be well worth it for sure. Some of the guys in the club though not guides sure know the area and would love nothing else to get you on a fish. Hey, two days of fishing only ups your chances right?
Not sure how you can sign up for an outing with one of the Ottawa guys yet, I'll send an email and see what I can find out. |
