Recently I installed a humminbird 899 SI on my boat, even more recently I installed the WI lakemaster chip. Should i be able to sit in my boat, in my driveway, and page through WI lakes and have the info pop up on the screen? Currently, i go to the lake list and select a certain lake and then it goes back to the original screen. Am i missing something? Or, am i a redneck who has not spent enough time learning all the ins-and-outs of this unit?

I don't recall exactly, but you may need to be in the simulator mode on startup to do this. Better yet, go out and sit in your boat and call humminbird Customer Service--they are great and will walk you through it on the spot.

Yes you have to be in simulation mode.

I'll tinker with that. Now my problem seems to be that i can't even get the lake info for the lake that i am actually on. Any ideas??
