What are some good reels to combo as trolling/sucker reels? did a search, but not much came up.

Thanks

I use okuma comvectors for my live bait rigs and trolling small to med baits. Been holding up good so far and they aren't expensive at all.

I'm a Shimano guy so I'll say Tekota

Yeah, I run tekotas on my bigger trolling setups and they are awesome reels! But if you want to go cheaper the okumas are a good option.

Okumas are fine. I have 20dx reels that are over a dozen years old caught lots of fish on suckers and trolling. No issues. Since your not running 100's of feet of line you don't need a huge reel. 20 series is fine. For a rod you can use a 7' heavy catfish rod. Plenty of options there too but you can get away wih an inexpensive rod.
