Finally got out and used my brand new Nacl60 Revo and noticed a "ticking" noise when reeling in. It also seems to be noisy on the cast, like something's grinding, compared to my Luna 400's, which I previously used. Any thoughts, before I send it back?

Make sure the thumb screw on the top of the reel is tightened down. If that screw loosens at all the side plate can turn just slightly and cause the reel to make noise when casting and reeling. Happened to me last weekend and the screw being loose was all it took. Checked the other ones in the boat and they had loosened up too. Good luck

Plus one on checking that screw. They don't seem to be tightened down very hard at the factory and sometimes the brand new ones are not even "finger tight". No need to over-tighten it but make sure it's good and secure.

I had one that did the same thing as you describe and it was the pawl. Loud cast and a rhythmical tick on the retrieve. It was fixed within a week.
