| Dear guys, hello everybody! This is my first post, so I take this opportunity to introduce myself. Hope is this the right session. I am Italian and I'm a pike angler. I left Italy in favor of Quebec, and I will live here for 3 years. It's 2 months that I don't go fishing, and the need for a pike is really strong! I live in Trois-Rivieres, halfway from Montreal to Quebec city. I ask you if someone could tell me few spots in which go pike and musky fishing (would be a dream for me to catch a musky!). I need spots I can fish from the shore, as I don't own a boat... And it's not bad if they are not so far from my place... 2-3 hours maximum. Hope someone wants help me!
And, of course, if someone is interested in fishing together, for me is a pleasure!
Sorry for my poor english, thank you all! |

| Welcome. The St. Lawrence around Montreal has great Pike and Muskie. Lake Champlain also has good numbers of pike......Quebec has hundreds of lakes which hold great pike numbers...many are hard to get to, and very, very desolate. I live on the PQ, NY border.....many, many pike lakes.... |

| Im sure you can find places to fish on the river right in trois riviere, although I dont know any specific spots. There are pike and musky in the st lawrence. Im certain there are plenty of pike in the smaller lakes around there though--the only times Ive fished in Quebec it was northwest of montreal, probably a few hour drive for you, and the pike fishing was great. Lake champlain, which is mostly in the US, has Ok pike fishing and actually had the only native population of musky in New England, mississquoi bay (which is the bay that spills over into QC) is one of the areas they are trying to reintroduce musky. |

| Bit tough to pin down. Some of the smaller tributaries of the St. Lawrence may offer wading opportunities. If you get as close to the Ottawa river or St. Lawrence as you can while fishing the smaller tributary flowing in you will have a chance at a big Muskie. Best bet is high water conditions. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | You could hire a guide. I would also suggest joining the Montreal Chapter of Muskies Canada. Guys there would point you in the right direction and will often have an open seat in their boat. |

Location: Quebec, Canada | Hi lisergicpike. There aren't many people from Quebec on this board, even less from your area. I myself am from PQ but definitely not close to Trois-Rivières. Check PM though, I am sending you a couple of places to keep digging for info that might prove to be a bit more relevant than here. Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome place for musky fishing information... probably one of the best out there, but not much info about PQ specifically. |
