| Opener is next weekend and i am stuck here in Chicago. Who has been out on the water that can offer knowledge? What have you been seeing out on the water. With the late ice out, will it be still pre spawn? Weather for next week looks to be in 70s...
Are there other reports online that you follow?
Thanks |

Location: Smith Creek | I had 45-48 degree water temps walleye fishing last night in Iron County. Did catch a little muskie on a Rogue.
I'm guessing the shallow dark waters will be up to the mid to upper 50's if the weather does what they say it will. |

Location: Northern Wisc. | water temps from this last weekend were in the low to mid 50's and a little colder on the clearer waters. everything is looking good, just a late start to the season. Muskies should be on fire this weekend with mid 70's being reported saturday and sunday. should warm the water up quiet a bit. |

| The water temps rose around 8 degrees over a 3 day time period. Warmest temps i saw was 65. Saw a lot of fish, some still spawning, some totally not interested, and some lethargic follows. Musky seemed to be all over the place from 1ft of water to about 15ft. Small Suicks and small bucktails got the most attention.
Boated a 33", 36", and 37" in Price county over the weekend. |

| I was up in IRON county for the opener--and stayed till yesterday afternoon---I saw temps rise also by 6-8 degrees and hit 71 in the shallows (1-2ft of water ) on the stained water lake I was on. saw no Musky spawning activity and caught 3 small males that showed signs of spawning--Saw nothing LARGE and the ones I got were still slow moving---I think by this weekend maybe the bite will be on good. |

Location: Gilberts IL/Rhinelander WI | We fished Saturday to Tuesday morning. Oneida county, stained water. Water temps got up to 70*. We boated six fish from 32-42". All fish seen or caught were related to where the crappies were. They seemed fairly aggressive in the afternoon/evenings and sluggish in the mornings. |
