Location: Central Wisconsin		I am wondering if anyone has used these before. I got the 5/0 and idk if it's the nickle finish or what but I want to make sure they're strong.

Location: MN		I don't know about the EC's but I find the nickel finish hooks I have need a little more attention the first time sharpening in order to get through the finish and touch those points up.
