| Just got this installed. Picked up the boat today. Dealer said it's all ready. Never had issues in the past with them. Got home and turned the new unit on. Whenever I hit the view or exit button more than a couple times, it shuts down/restarts. Same thing happens whenever I hit the preset view button. Contacted the dealer and they are closed tomorrow. While I wait, any guesses? Everything seems to be connected properly. It is connected via Ethernet hub to my console unit which is one year older. Thanks. |

| Yeah, I thought about power issue. Made sure they were fully charged. Console graph runs fine. I will try re-installing the latest software and go from there. Thanks. |

| Ok. Here is what I find out. Using my trusted all seeing eye (google), I tried reading some other forums. Apparently the Bird's Eye View causes problems. Although, I could not find this anywhere on hummingbird's site. Once I hid those views (full screen AND split screen), the unit worked fine. It had the same problem for the version it came with (I think v_6.840, not sure can't go back) and the current software update v_6.860. So, I will use it as intended (never used BEV in the past) and wait for another update. It was driving me crazy! Could have called HB CS, but why do that? Its like reading the manual... |
