Senator Tom Saxhaug added the amendment to remove the 55” language from the Bill in Finance Committee after it had been through all policy committees untouched.

·        You are the key person in the Senate opposed to this, why?

·        There is no opposition from organized fishing groups.

·        Is there a problem with Muskies that we don’t know about?

·        Would you support legislation that deals with the lakes where Muskies don’t get 55 inches and protect those waters that do?

·        55” Minimum helps tourism and will sustain the fishery that supports resorts and guides on these lakes.

·        Fishermen want it, guides want it, resorts want it, angling groups want it, and the DNR is neutral, what is it that you know that everyone else doesn’t.

·        We want this.
