Location: Tomahawk, WI | So, on another part of the forum there is a poll for how many combos to bring on a week long trip.
Here is my question. How many rod and reel setups do you keep in the boat for just a day of fishing. Also, how are those rods set up?
For me , I always have three rods. All with Revos with 80# powerpro and stealth leaders. A 7'6 rod for jerks an glides, an 8' rod for small bucks and cranks and a 9' rod that can handle dbl 10s and mag dawg size rubber baits. I gave up trying to throw pounders. Even with the right rod I was just getting worn out. These three setups work well for everything I like to throw. |

| For me the prevailing pattern drives the choice. |

Location: Minnesota | I bring them all 11 setups .i only have 2 out at a time sometimes 3 but I bring them all. I have great rod storage so i it for the most part I'll have just the 2 rods out the rest are pot away i like a clean boat don't like tripping over things |

Location: Tomahawk, WI | Agreed on the clean boat! When I'm out for muskies, everything needs to be put away. I cant fish with confidence if I know something is out on the deck that shouldn't be there. I've got a little OCD for that.

| I usually have three rigs in the boat. Big rubber rod and reel. Bucktail/glide/topwater rod. Then a shorter jigging, small glide rod and reel. Like others, though, I usually only have one rod out at a time. Two at the most and the other one needs to be tucked away. |

| 2 Muskie rods for me.
7'6" Med heavy rod, Toro NACL 50 6.4 80LB PP and Stealth leader
8' extra heavy rod, Toro NACL 60 5.4 80# PP and Stealth leader.
Power handle on both reels. Although I liked the feel of the reg handle better the Power handle makes pulling in heavy lures and blades so much easier. After a few minutes I got used to them and now the reg handle seems small.
I dont throw pounders so these two seem do do everything I need them to. I also keep 2 bass/walleye rods in the rod locker. |

Location: Wakefield, MI | Rod storage is terrible in our boat so space becomes an issue. Musky fishing I usually have 2 rods with me, this year there will be a third. My dad usually has 3, sometimes brings a fourth.
Bass fishing I usually have 5 or 6. |

One for jerkbaits and smaller stuff 8' MH
One for bucktails 9'2" H
One for rubber and bigger cranks 8"6'XH
If I know I am going to troll a lot on a given day I will swap out one of them for a trolling rod.
