Location: Sussex, NJ | So I'm making my own bump board and have seen the previous threads about guys making their own and they look awesome. Does anyone know of a wide adhesive ruler I could use for mine? All the adhesive's I found are really thin and I've seen guys put of them from top to bottom on one, but was wondering if anyone knew a ruler that would almost cover the thickness of my bump board? Any suggestions welcome thanks! |

Location: Madtown, WI | I had a real tough time finding a ruler for a homemade bump board, seems like I could never find anything ideal that was also cheap (that's why I made my own afterall). Ended up just making my own with a wood burning kit and stencil, the kit cost the same as a ruler. Takes a lot more time but looks better and more unique. |

Can you get a wood burning kit at a regular hobby store? |

Location: MN | If you do apply a sticker to your board, make sure not to stretch it when sealing it down. This will make it longer and then all your fish will measure short of what they actually are. (This would be done by running you hand down the length of the ruler from one end to the other)

Location: Madtown, WI | I got my wood burning kit at a home improvement store. I'm sure most hobby stores will have them as well. I'm pretty sure this is the one that I got: http://www.amazon.com/Walnut-Hollow-Creative-Woodburner-Value/dp/B0... |

| Get a seamstress tape, glue it down then cover with clearcoat. Find them in any sewing department for a couple bucks. |
