I was curious what people are using to paint their baits and clear coat them, I dont have any air brushes so im leaning toward shaker cans.

im repainting some rapla gliden raps and it appears their plastic and im also repainting some wood suicks

use a white base after scuffing. mask and spray. white base for florescents. use a acrylic clear. mist coat first clear. dry and spray finish coat. use painters tape on lips

The Glidin' Raps are African Abachi wood if that matters. I have repainted one that was pretty beat up- I can't remember if I used spray can or createx but I know I used e-tex for the clear. It turned out ok, I didn't do enough prep but it's good enough for my personal use.

I love the golden shiner pattern (foil) and found that the hook rash eventually leads to the foil peeling so now when I get a new one I will throw a thin coat or two of clear on it to help preserve it.

I you all auto paints and Lacquers. Solvent based. And envirotex clear.
