OK, im doing this for the first time, seems pretty easy, but my trailer has these things called spindle sleeves on them, and the replacement hub kit i purchased doesnt have or mention these..

I didnt even realize they were on the spindles until i did the 2nd side.. first one came off in the old hub seal.

Can i just not replace them? the spindles seems ok, so wondered if i can go without them..

bigger PITA then i expected so far..

Likely the previous owner had lube retention issues with the spindle/seals, possibly a groove worn into the spindle from the seal. You can probably get replacement sleeves.

I would consider calling the Liqui-Lube folks and see if you'd be a good candidate for a conversion to the Liqui-Lub program.
