| Looking for any advice or pics anyone might have on the following topics relative to a 690. I am picking one up from the dealer next week which has hardly been used so it is a blank slate for me to set up the way I want.
The boat has a factory rear deck extension but I would like to buy or make a front extension. Any pics of what the OEM version looks like? Any ideas for a custom made version?
Is mounting gunwale rails relatively simple on this boat? Any suggestions on length of rails to buy?
What kind of rod holder set-ups and layouts work well?
Any other rigging do's or don't (transducer mounting, cable routing, graph mounting etc.
These are the main topics on my mind, but I will appreciate any other advice you have with this rigging this model.
Thanks,
Bent |

Location: Contrarian Island | the front deck extension right from Ranger is pretty sweet, you can see mine here, fits about 20 of the big clear planos nicely. Just call Ranger, ask for Parts and tell them your serial # etc and they will make you one. I would also measure the width you need it as they have messed up the size in the past.
I have the Ranger rails front and back and put the Down Easters on em....

| Thanks Bnelson. Is the OEM extension essentially a large box?
Do you ever have problems with mildew underneath?

| Thanks for all the great input guys. If there is anything else (positive or negative) to plan for let me know. To the guy with the spare box for sale. I might be interested, but not sure of any dimensional differences between the '96 and '99. Below is a picture of the space.
