| I will be buying a motor to put on a drift boat and this limits me to 6 hp per the MFG
I have a Honda 8 hp 17.5" shaft and its to big so need to get another
I have been hearing that the Yamahas are the "#*#*"
Always buy Honda and to date never been disappointed but while looking at the Yamaha I like the tiller mounted shifter and the ability to use the internal tank also they have a system to prevent oil leakage when stored or transported on their side.
the 6 hp Yammy weighs 62 pounds same for the 4hp , there a single cyl as all that I know of the 6 hp and down are.
the option is the Honda 5 hp also weighs right around 60#
Want to buy a reliable easy starting PORTABLE in that it will not remain on the boat I will put it on as the trip warrants .
