I changed my fuel filter on my 07 75hp opti last fall and when I put it in I was not sure how tight to crank it down. I was afraid I might break the plastic teeth on the top. It felt pretty snug but it looked like it could be seated a but deeper.
This was my first time doing this. Can anyone here give me some feedback on how tight they seat this filter?
Thanks. I wanna hit the Niagara tomorrow for steelies but I have this nagging worry - I am not the handiest guy in the world and usually doubt my do-it-myself work:)

Generally anything plastic I would just hand tighten til snug. Broken way too much stuff from over tightening in the past. Good luck with the trouts, hope the river isn't too dirty for you with all the runoff we've had in the last two days after that snow we got. The buffalo river is spewing mud into the upper river right now.

Its an oring seal so snug is should be good. You can cycle the key switch a couple times to pressurize the system and check for leaks before leaving.
