I bought a new alumacraft. I was wondering what people are using for rod holders on the alumatrac system. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Location: MN		I would be very cautious of using the Alumatrac or any other manufacturer's track system for muskie rod holders. From what I've seen they generally are meant for lighter duty applications than muskie fishing. If it were me, I would go with a holder that is a direct or rail mount and can handle the shock a violent muskie strike can cause. You don't want to lose a $400+ combo and be left with a broken rod holder.

Location: Watersmeet, Michigan		I looked at that track at Cabela's and it seems to be about the same as Lund's Sportrac. I really think you'd break a rod before you'd ever damage the boat, but using a composite rod holder should insure that you're safe. Check with your dealer or Alumacraft's customer service and see what they say.
