It must be the "Cabin Fever", but last night I woke up in the middle of the night dreaming about getting the boat out and ready for the season....Nightmare?? Hell NO! Pleasant dreams! Anyway, you all know what its like to ponder on what you feel will be a producer for you in the upcoming season....Well, here is the color pattern I started painting this past winter and feel will be a hot one for me....However, most of you also know that usually the one you THINK is going to be hot ends up NOT! Yikes....I'm hopeful though....Go ahead and post what you feel will be your hot baits or colors this coming season....We need some healthy discussion on how excited we all are about what lies ahead...

Sexier Shads

Most of you probably don't know this about me but I am also a big Lake Erie walleye fisherman....Since my dad passed 2 years ago, it has been tough to get back there much just because that was our thing we did most together.  He was not much into the muskies just because he was old school European and like to fill the freezer.  Anyway, I'm going to start fishing Erie more this year and I made the color below as my first official Erie walleye pattern....Its called the KingNuke.  I really think those Erie hog gators are going to love these Lil' Hammers

The Orange Perch in the middle is going to be THE bait for me this year. There is no way something that stunning wont get bit!

One of my new "Little Buddy" baits in "Burnt Gold" foil color will be the hot bait this spring...5.5 inches and lots of flash will imitate the smaller bait fish of the early season. Experimented with this bait at the end of last year, so I know it will be a winner this year.

Gonna get a tanker on my hardhead repaint for sure. But we are working on a new crank bait made for Greenbay trolling. Should work good as an early season twitch bait too.

My go to bait will be what i call my green camo bucktail, may not be the catchiest name but after last season it catches fish!! Put that color together at the end of the season and was my go to bait from then on. I also had a lot of success on the Squirrely Burt Firetiger!

I think these mini marshads will be hot.  specifically shad and tiger colors.  Small baits seem to rule in ohio.
