I like the baby cowgirl ... a great burner and for a small bucktail it heavier and casts nice.

Cant't say anything about the baby CG, but a nice small Bucktail is Spanky baits firefly

I like musky mayhem baby girls. They are fun to fish.. Easy to pull but they are actually almost 2oz so they cast quite nice for a small bucktail.. I've got a nickel/black and a orange/black that I always bring.

I moved more fish with baby cowgirls last year than any other lure, they just didn't eat for me prolly cause I'm still learning what they like in the 8

Also in my lake the ones I moved were prolly 10 to 20 inches shorter but burning them on a bass size reel and a mh mojo sure is comfy after throwing big stuff and big diameter rod handles that wear on my hands, and with the baby cg I moved more than 3 fish in 15 minutes

Yes, both lures are good. Tip the Jig with a salty shaker tail (or the like) and you have a great lure combo. We have done very well on jigs like that. If the jig is less than an ounce...you may need to shorten the salty shaker tail (or the like) slightly...say about an inch. Jigs are nice in rivers because you can reel them in stright and shallow... or let them sink into hole...or bounce off bottom, etc. Versitile to match river conditions.
