| What small crankbaits do you guys suggest for shallow water casting? Baits that run in the 1-5ft range? Most of my spring river muskies come on 00AC shiners and those continue to catch me fish but am looking to try other baits. I picked up a customX mini x 5" on Tuesday and it caught me a fat little 28" fish already but I didn't think that the mini x cranked very well in current. It kept wanting to lay on it's side and stop wobbling. I have been looking for crane 205s but those are hard to come by right now.
Thanks in advance. |

But we only have 42 colors in the Super Cisco to pick from

Also check out some of Talonz Katz Claw and Little Claw lures. Mike really hit the spot with these lures. I have a few and love them:

Not crankbaits but also think about small swimbaits like our TI MiniD lures. Other good small swimbaits for you to keep shallow might be some of Rubber Hairy tackle and Medussa mini swimbaits. Check them out too.

Location: SE, WI. | Try Muskie trains MF Shad. Great action and good producer. MY wife gets many ski"s on them. A lot more durable than a crane. JD |

| x5 on the Musky train MF shad, I have caught some real nice fish on them, just ordered 2 more from Rollie's. I like that they are made from cedar they hold up better than balsa baits. |

| If you are looking in the Rollie's catalog for the MF Shad there is a misprint in the catalog on page 55. The picture of the MF shad is actually a Diesel and the Diesel picture is the MF shad- pictures are flip flopped. Online catalog has it correctly. Few guys were confused and sent me messages.
Thanks,
Jeff Hanson

Mike makes a great bait no doubt, but comparing cedar to balsa is like apples to oranges.Yes cedar is more durable, there is nothing that moves like a balsa bait! |

| I don't agree with that at all. The mf shad moves just as well as any balsa bait I have used and if I'm going to spend $21-$23 on a small twitchbait I want it to hold up to more than 3-4 fish. All balsa baits I have used don't last very long some only catch 1 fish and they are toast. |
