After seeing the discussion on the Green Bay fishery (again thanks for everyones efforts on the 54" limit), anyone have any info on the status of the Winnebago System fishery. With the limited # of GLS muskies available and no stocking since 2006 (that I can find), is there stocking planned there anytime soon... any natural reproduction... I dont get out that way much since GB is closer.

Yes the Bago system has received nothing since 2006. Many local clubs such as C&R Musky Club would love to stock the Bago system with tons of fish but unfortunately our hands are tied, we can't because of the VHS laws and the strain of fish that can only be stocked. I don't think we'll see stocking again for quite some time here but to me it makes no sense why we can't stock the Bago system or the bay with all strains of Muskies, they won't reproduce anyways. We've allready let 8 years slip by. Sad deal.

Would be sweet to have a solid pop on that system since I live so close and there's so much bait for Muskies to eat. Would love for the Muskies to take care of some of the sheepshead and white bass. And so much shad out there. 140000 acres. Could be a trophy factory.
