I don't know what I did or how to correct it but when I open a thread I can read the first one but any responses I have to open individually instead of simply scrolling down. What can be done to correct this problem.

Should be a drop down box in the mid top right of the page, just above the top reply. You likely switched that to threaded, change it back to flat. Hopefully that does the trick.
