Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | If you had 5 questions about muskie tackle you would like answered, what would they be? This pertains to rods, reels, line, and terminal tackle. Please list the questions in your answer. |

| 1.-The occasional 'ski fisher such as me..."What would be the best all round 2 rods for the $$$?"
2.-What 2 reels would be the best choice for the 2 rods, again w/ $$$ as a consideration?"
3.-What 2 line types/brand would be appropriate for the above 2, and would cover various types of baits?"
4.-What types of leaders and how many should one have to start out w/?"
5.-What type hardware between line/leader/bait would be the best?
***These are questions I SHOULD have asked a few years ago, before I started buying everything on sight and learning by trial/error, saving quite a few hundred dollars in the process... |

Location: Kentucky | Why is it that alot of rod manufacturer's rate the rods by line weight and lure weight and us Muskie fisherpeople put 80lb powerpro on rods rated for 20 - 30 lb line ?
Are lure colors for fish or the people that buy them?
Which segment of the muskie fishing industry has had the greatest technological advances in the last 10 yrs? Nets, Lures, Rods, Reels? Boats?
What bait will I catch my next 50"er on? (lol) It's been a while!

| OK, I got a good one for you.
What goes "Around one corner, then around another corner then straight to another corner straight to another corner to another, then another."

Location: Kentucky | 1. Why should I spend a little more for quality equipment if I'm just getting into this sport and not sure if I'll like it? (I think there are 3 tiers of rods, reels, etc. and most of the bottom tier sucks and isn't helping any newbies be successful. Lesson learned the hard way). 2. Are gear ratios important on my reels? Why? (burning bucktails; keeping up with glide baits; using crankbaits without a winch, etc.) 3. Are rods, reels, and terminal tackle more important than release tools? What's the basic stuff I need to get started? (Most newbies don't think about what would happen if they actually caught one!) 4. What type and brand of line should I use? Does it matter? (Superbraid, etc.) 5. What knot should I learn to tie to connect line to leader? (Power knot). |

| Everything that has to do with trolling, mono/superbraids? speeed vs.time of year?,rods, lures, holders, lake types? This is still pretty much a new frontier for me as most of the water I fish has a no-trolling law,so I don`t get to do it much for musky, walleyes on some bodies of water is a different story though! | 1. Why don't reel manufacturer's make top end left-handed reels, other than the Calcutta 401 TE? (Diawa 253 top, Morrum nothing, Shimano you get the TE, or else Calcutta 251).
2. Where can I learn how to lube my own reels?
3. What is the proper size reel for a 8' rod? (I have been told largest capacity possible).
