| I know there are lots of reels out there for power and high speed, If your going to spend $500 on a reel, do you think the PG or HG has more bang for the buck? |

Location: Quebec, Canada | I myself plan on buying the Tranx PG. I had read that 75% of Tranx sold are PG vs 25% for HG. The PG is just more versatile with a better mix of power and speed. |

Location: New Jersey | I think it depends on what you want to do with it. For pulling 10's, I don't have anything other reel that does a better job than the PG. If you want to burn smaller stuff faster, the HG has a higher gear ration and I think 8 more inches of line per turn of the handle. |

Location: Minnesota | there tools what do you want it to do how are you fishing.I have both my HG is on my pounder set up for big rubber it picks up line fast so when your ripping and jerking you big rubber baits there is no slack in your line. my PG is on my buck tail set up turns 10 into butter . it comes down to what you want it to do. I use the PG more then the HG |

| I just bought one this winter and after a ton of research and asking anyone that had used them I went with the PG, now if it will ever warm up so I can take it for a ride. |

If I find i'm in need of physical therapy i'll switch to 8's.
I bet the PG does alright too at burning with 30" per crank.
Man.. I remember when all we had for burning was the 7000 at just under 24" per crank. |

| Had the same question so ended up getting one of each as there a "lifetime reel I should be able to figure out what reel for what set up
using a Thorne Predator 9' and a slingblade so this should cover it along with the PG and HG

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | If U want to fish all day long with DCG get the PG, the HG U will only be able to use a few hours at a time for DCG 10-13. U can use the PG for size 8 and smaller blades all day. |

I may pick up a HG for big rubber and small bucktails, but I dont really need it. Then again I dont really need 75% of the sh#t I have now!!! |

Exactly... They are two different aninmals. Do you want a Yukon Denali (PG) or a Porsche (HG). Both awesome but very different and there uses and fuctionality have some cross over but are really best served for different things. |

Location: Lakeville, MN | I have both but use the PG a lot more, it's more versatile....though I don't throw much big rubber. I'd have a hard time using the HG with DC8's and not blow the lure out of the water, unless my rod tip is underwater, assuming a full spool. I threw 10's and 13's for a week, ~14 hours a day, with an HG - it was fine but PG better for that IMO |
