I have checked out St.Croix and was wondering one of our guests is looking for a (2) piece rod for commercial air travel so I thought I would through it out there to see if it can help him out Thanks Muskie rod I've checked out Thornes also any other suggestions.

My 9' 2pc Tackle Industries rod is 4.5ft for travel and can be taken on commercial aircraft as a carry on. This is also the main reason I made the rods was for the traveling fisherman so you don't have to pay $70+ each way to take a rod with you while traveling.
We have 6 9' 2pc rods to pick from:

When I travel, I have three 2-Piece rods I take with me. One is a 2-pc TI 9' XXH (big rubber, large minnow baits, etc), another is a 2-pc TI 9' XH (bucktails, Crankbaits, etc), and the third is a 2-pc St. Croix Premier 7'0" Heavy (Jerkbaits and topwater). All these rods function well, cover a lot of techniques, and won't break the bank if broken during travel. I have a short 4" diameter rod tube that I can fit these in and I just carry it on the plane. No one had given me a problem yet.

Don, as I mentioned in the PM. I use two piece customs by Dadson rods. I really outside of my pounder rod only use these two piece rods. They pretty much throw everything from dbl 10's to suicks, topwater. A really good all around rod for baits up to 5-6 oz. I don't throw anything bigger than that on them. They tend to be lighter than most two piece as well. I have traveled with my 9' all over the world and even though they are geared for musky, they work on other fish as well. BR
