Just purchased a 60 HP Johnson 2 stroke to replace my Merc Classic 50. I have never repowered a boat before, any advice or suggestions?? Looking to add some meters which I never had before, tach, volts and speedo(??)
Any input is appreciated. Got to have her ready for the water!!!
Thanks!

I wouldn't bother with a speedo, it'll just get clogged up and quit working like all the other ones.

Thanks Bill! I have been hoping to do this for years, so I am looking forward to getting her up and running.

Your OMC and Merc bolt holes may not match. On a previous boat I went from a 50 Merc to a 60 Suzuki 4 stroke which I think is the same as OMC. I had to plug old bolt holes with dowling and drill new holes.
